Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Sabi Market, you agree to these Terms of Service. Sabi Market is an event contract forecasting exchange operated by Sabi Market Limited, a company incorporated in Nigeria. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.

2. What Sabi Market is

Sabi Market is a forecasting exchange where users trade naira-denominated event contracts on the outcomes of real-world events. Each contract is a binary position that pays ₦1 if the specified outcome occurs and ₦0 if it does not. Sabi Market is not a gambling platform, sportsbook, or lottery. Positions are event contracts, not bets.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must be a resident of Nigeria (or an approved jurisdiction)
• You must complete identity verification (KYC) to deposit, trade, or withdraw
• You may not use Sabi Market if you are a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) without enhanced due diligence
• One account per person. Multiple accounts will be frozen.

4. How trading works

• Each market has a question with a YES or NO outcome
• Contracts trade at prices between 1 and 99 kobo (representing 1%–99% probability)
• YES + NO = ₦1. When you buy YES at 60k, you pay ₦0.60 and receive ₦1.00 if YES wins
• Orders are matched on a central limit order book with price-time priority
• Market resolution is determined by independent oracle sources specified in each market's rules
• Resolved markets settle automatically — winners receive ₦1 per winning contract

5. Funds and payments

• All funds are denominated in Nigerian Naira (₦)
• Deposits and withdrawals are processed through licensed Nigerian payment providers
• Client funds are held in a segregated trust account at a Tier-1 Nigerian bank, separate from our operating funds
• Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours to your verified Nigerian bank account
• We do not charge deposit fees. Trading fees and withdrawal fees are displayed before each transaction.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Trade on markets for which you have material non-public information
• Engage in wash trading, spoofing, or market manipulation
• Use multiple accounts, rented BVNs, or false identity documents
• Trade on your own markets if you are a market creator
• Use the platform for money laundering or terrorism financing
• Attempt to exploit technical vulnerabilities

Violations result in immediate account freeze, forfeiture of funds involved in the violation, and reporting to relevant authorities (NFIU, EFCC).

7. Market resolution and disputes

• Markets are resolved based on the oracle sources and rules specified at market creation
• Resolution proposals have a 24-hour challenge window
• Disputed resolutions are escalated to an independent committee
• In cases of ambiguity or voided events, markets may be voided and positions refunded at cost basis
• Sabi Market's resolution decision is final after the dispute process completes

8. Risks

Trading event contracts involves risk of loss.

• You can lose your entire investment on any position
• Past probabilities do not predict future outcomes
• Markets may be illiquid — you may not be able to exit a position at your desired price
• Only invest money you can afford to lose

9. Account suspension and closure

We may freeze or close your account if we suspect fraud, AML violations, or terms violations. If your account is closed without cause, we will return your funds to your verified bank account within 30 days.

10. Limitation of liability

Sabi Market provides the platform on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for trading losses, technical outages, or delays in resolution. Our total liability to you is limited to the balance in your Sabi Market wallet at the time of the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved by arbitration in Lagos under the Lagos Court of Arbitration rules.
